J.Hauser and Bailey are going to be quite the pair of forwards the next few years. As they add strength there games will accelerate even more. With McEwen,Elliott and hopefully Torrence playing next year the guard situation should be covered.

HowardsWorld

Not really a positive but could be if done correctly. More of an opportunity to show if Wojo learned anything and can make adjustments. Barring an upset of Depaul over St.Johns, MU will play every team in the BET that they lost to during this rough stretch. I am loopinig St.Johns in there since they beat us twice. If seeds hold they will play St.Johns/Georgetown/Nova. This is definitely a way to show everyone you have made adjustments.

Hard to make adjustments when you do not have the personnel in the backcourt. Not many options.

Why hopefully Torrence?  With Howard, Sacar, Elliott and McEwen, he may play a minimal amount of minutes.  Once Howard and Sacar leave, then he is in play for plenty of time.  Why waste a year to sit on the bench.

The outlook question for next year will be does McEwen get the starting nod and Sacar goes to the bench?  Who will be the first guard off bench, Sacar, McEwen, Elliott?  A lot better than the current options. MU will have four capable guards as opposed to the two they have now.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

The team is exhausted and needs some rest.  A break heading into the conference tournament will do them some good, so that's a positive.

When a jump shooting team loses it's legs, the shots don't fall.  We've seen Markus,  Sam, and Joey all have their struggles recently.   Even Sacar looked less explosive on his drives yesterday.

Bailey has fresh legs and the game is slowing down for him.  The off balance shots and shooting hitch are disappearing.   Looking good the last two games.  Something to build on.

I am looking for fresh legs and good shooting next week.  I fully expect Marquette to be playing Saturday night.

If Symir comes next year,  I look forward to the added depth, competition,  and injury insurance.

Next year has a chance to be special.   Get as many assets as possible.   Too many variables to say Symir won't play.  Injuries happen, especially considering Elliott has hurts his left thumb twice in two years.

Plus, Symir brings a skill this roster lacks: passing.  I was really impressed by this skill in game video.  We'll have to see how quickly it translates, but a table setter makes the Hausers that much better.  Maybe McEwen and Elliott will be enough but no downside in having another option.

Whatever Symir decides, I will support.  I can see the pros and cons of both decisions.  Either way,  I am really looking forward to Symir in a Marquette uniform.

Why Torrence? Are you serious?Howard,Elliott,Sacar and McEwen. How many can acuallty run a team from the point??Hopefully McEwen. What if he gets hurt.Back to the same as this year.
