Second Half he trusted his guys with 3 fouls. It obviously paid off big time.

Sam sat for a little bit. Obvious reason with him getting 2 fouls in the first 40 seconds.

But other than that, Markus and Sam played together with 3 fouls.

The Markus decision especially was huge. If he sits after #3 he might never find his rythm.

Paid off big time.

Also sat Bailey for Cain.  Cain still struggled at times, but played his role very well.

There were a few moments in the first half when Markus had 2 fouls that had me a little worried, but he really did play smart when he had foul trouble. Sam and Markus have earned the trust from Wojo to be put into tough situations by now. In a big game, we needed our stars to shine, and they did just that.

I love the decision by Wojo to trust his guys. The bond he has with his guys is so clear this year. Seeing the way he interacts with them on the sideline, the hugs and celebrations, you can see how much faith they have in their coach. I'm quickly changing my view on Wojo. It's all coming together in the right way.

Agree, Cain with some yips at first but sound rebounding and some smith shots. Bailey was not right as well. Didn't seem to know what to do. Good sub.

Not saying Bailey a problem overall, just at that time we was not there?

One of the Lighthouse guys, who absolutely says Wojo needs to go during every game, actually said at half that he thought the first half was Wojo's best half of coaching at MU. He may be right.

The pace of that game was high.  Probably a little too fast for him.

I mean, I guess.  But outside of shuffling some guys around due to foul trouble I don't think tactically he did much of anything different.  Guys knew what to do and what role they were supposed to play.  I don't think he coached the team remarkably different than he normally does.

Wojo's coaching has been good.  He has developed these guys into a team.  I'm much more impressed with how they have grown together and have played since Kansas than anything he specifically has done in any particular game.

I think it will continue to be game by game but I hope this helps Jamal get his confidence back.

Bailey has loads of potential as he gets back into basketball but I think Cain can do more for us right now.

Cain has a better jumper imo which with confidence should continue to come back and the dude can really rebound.

Either way, hopefully Cain/Bailey trend towards Theo/Morrow. Where you know every night it might be a different guy, but one of them will step up.

I think WOJO was a much more active game coach in this game. His switching out Markus on defense and offense to protect him, optimize defense and maximize offensive production was masterful. He also switched things up on the offensive attack that got our offense tracking. I have never felt WOJO was a great game coach. I though he was very good in this game!
