How about DePaul!  :o

I know many here would like to sulk about our loss further.  However, if prior to the Gavitt games I told you that only 3 (?) big east teams would win their game, I doubt anybody would have guessed Georgetown, DePaul, and St. John's (?) as their three.  I know, I'm being very presumptuous about STJ, they'll probably lose by 50 to Rutgers now....

Maybe we are the best team in the conference

Very funny, BUT perhaps true.   Don't make fun of Dayton, Buffalo, DePaul, SLU, Bucknell, or Princeton, we may be one of them.

I don't think I understand the comparison. Elaborate?

Hard to judge the Big East yet, as many big non-conference games are still to come. Maybe the Big Ten is just strong this year. Iowa with a huge win over Oregon in MSG last night.

Not really.  Like you, I am a huge Big East fan.  But I am not afraid to call a spade a spade.  The Big East is clearly down.  Still think its a 5 bid league this season though.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

That's the point, there is no comparison only congruence.   The current Big East Standings says it all being that it is the Big vs. the Big East.  For some things a small sample size is sufficient.

Oregon is ranked on potential, they aren't the #13 team in the nation right now. This is a NIT team who only brought back one contributor with more than a year's experience and relies on freshmen and two grad transfers. Don't make Iowa's win more than it actually is.

no, we're inserting facts and talking down off the ledge those who are obsessed with the Big Ten and now treating them like a 500-pound gorilla because Iowa beat Oregon.

Well because Iowa beat Oregon....and because Michigan shellacked Villanova....and Indiana shelled Marquette...and a few others win...

Big 10 is up this season. Personally, I thought they would have a lot of teams in the 20-60 range but few true top contenders. After watching Michigan and Indiana I'm wondering if they could be those top teams. Not enough evidence to be sure but they both looked very good to me.

They do, st the top. But, the Big Ten obsession with this fan base goes back to Mike Juno’s original board. I only care about how good the Big East is.

By the way, the Big East, in its current iteration, has two national titles in the last three years. The Big Ten hasn’t won a title since 2000.
