I might be getting old, but I can't seem to find any useful info on the interweb.

Our friends (neighbors) and my wife/kids are trying to coordinate a day trip up to the Milwaukee Zoo this weekend from the far west burbs of Chicago (Elgin). There's a total of six kids (ages between 3-8) and the four adults. Rather than take two cars, since it'd be a three hour round trip that day, I was looking into renting a 10 passenger van. I thought this would be easier to investigate in renting a van from probably mid day Saturday through Monday morning, but it's much trickier than I thought.

Is there any kind of app/service I'm not aware of out there that I'm missing? Most van rental places seem to be $150ish a day.

Taking two cars (with free parking) is probably going to be a lot cheaper then any van rental you could find or the amtrack.

Try the Badger Bus to the Poto, with Chicago area pickups.  Maybe they will arrange to drop you off at the Zoo with that size group.

We are asleep at the wheel.
I'm like a turtle, sometimes I get run over by a semi.
