He's declaring and hiring an agent.  Man, I've gotta think that will hurt they Hoyas as they're trying to turn things around.

A lot of elite talent leaving the Big East this offseason.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Good. We need to re-establish ourselves as a top tier program in conference and the timing is pretty good to do just that given our returning players and incoming class.

Agreed. A few years ago I was nervous about the sustainability of our league's success. The league will be fine - it's time for us to start establishing ourselves atop the Big East pecking order.

Yep if we place first or second the next two years I won't care how stacked the conference was or wasn't that year.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Just have to get X, which will not be as good next year, or Villy which at this time not sure who is returning.  They could have 4 players going pro
off that team, if so they will not be better.  Even losing Brunson and Bridges alone, tells me they can not be as good.  They will be good for sure
but beatable.  MU never had players to guard those 2. MU got GTown twice last year, they will be better as they were young this year, but not as good without DD.  Lots of big loses in the league, MU probably has the best kids coming back next year with Hauser, Morrow and Howard.  Plus
the other players.

Will be interesting to see what new talent Georgetown has in the pipeline. Derrickson was a quality player and will definitely be a loss for them.

Yep.

Also shows you can never take what someone says at face value when $$$ is involved, as he supposedly said many times that he planned to return for his senior year.

From just before we faced Derrickson for the first time.. his second BEast game.. turned out to be a then-career-high pt game for him, and he led the way scoring for the Hoyas in a 10 pt win over MU.

Watch out for freshman Marcus Derrickson. Tricky guy to handle. 6'7", 250 and can absolutely fill it up from deep. Also can get pretty active and nifty on the o-glass.

Wound up 'only' 37.6% as a frosh and 34.4% from deep as a sophomore... but last year was 46.5%. Also sported a nice 8.5% OR% and super 20.0% DR%.

Big loss for Georgetown.

I really like him as a player, as i stated, however putting up career highs has kinda become the norm versus our layup line defense.  I can imagine someone saying he scored his career high against Marquette and eliciting an eye roll from an NBA GM. 😢

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Jessie Govan has declared but is not hiring an agent. If he goes too the Hoyas will be even worse next season than they were this season
