Trae Young

His game is a lot like Markus’s.

He is a weird looking dooooood.  He looks like a baby but yet kinda like an old man....

And he hasn't scored in the last 20 minutes.    URI's experienced guards taking him out of the game.    I love that shot blocker for OU.

Trae Young is a pretty darn good distributor and ball handler, though. Markus has some work to do to be as well rounded as Trae. But I can see the similarities in their scoring abilities. Thankfully, we get to hang on to Markus a little longer while OU fans only get Young for a year.

I believe earlier this year Wojo noted that Trae is 6 months older than Markus.

Trae Young has about 6 months on Markus. MH is just crazy young for a college sophomore. Let alone a highly competitive sophomore athlete. He's also younger than Michael Porter Jr and Deandre Ayton.

Trae with a nice run late.   I don't mind URI fouling him early, guaranteeing that OU didn't win with a 3 and making sure they got the last shot.    Shame it missed.

Shame they missed twice! I thought that put back was going down and URI was moving on.

Trae.   Shooting back to back 35 ft jumpers in a one possession game.   OU scoop has to be losing their mind over hero ball.

Now Young is forcing it. Taking crazy deep shots early in the shot clock.

God if we had Trae young I'd hate to see the amount of idiotic hate on him here.

Personally, I think the crazy long heat check three is the worst shot in the game for anyone, even Young or Rowsey. If it's a long shot in rhythm, in the flow of the offense, and open, then sure. But when you just pull up from 35 for no reason because you sometimes hit those? That's stupid.

He's a stud, no doubt. Arguable the best player in college hoops this year. But he does make some bad decisions that have to drive fans crazy, and he's slowed down a bit in the last month or two, I'm sure also makes some fans go a little nuts.

All in, you have to love having him on your team, but if they lose this one, you know fans are going to point to those 2 shots from the logo he took in OT. It's not an unfair criticism.

... and the experienced guards win in overtime.   While the inexperienced, very talented guard, made poor choices.     Hmmmmm.
