Am I right about this coaching stat?
« on: March 29, 2018, 10:42:47 AM »
The only active college coaches with more than 1 NCAA championship are Coach K and Roy Williams.  Self or Wright could join them obviously.

Outside of those four, the only other current coaches with national championships are Izzo and Boeheim.

Best sports dynasty since Wooden's UCLA teams.
Not even the best in Connecticut in the last 20 years.

From Wikipedia:

Trinity College Squash has won 17 of the last 20 NCAA championships. including 13 in a row from 1999-2011.

National champions 1999-2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018

National runner-up - 2012, 2014

The Trinity Bantams men's squash team holds the record for the longest unbeaten streak in any intercollegiate sport in the nation's history. On January 18, 2012, Trinity's 252-game unbeaten streak ended in a 5–4 loss to the Yale Bulldogs.

Of course, nobody cares about squash.  Not too many people care about women's hoops, either.

That only lasted 14 years (1998-2012). MU has been undefeated in football since 1960.
