I mean Markus had 22 more points, 1 less rebound, 3 more assists, drew 7 more FTs, and shot 9/13 from the floor. I think his statistics were significantly better than Heldt's.

Stats yes...but Matt took a preseason all Big East first team center and turned him into a non-factor.

Given that this team generally can't stop anybody, that's a pretty big deal.

not our strength defensively.

Wait ... we have a strength defensively?

As we all can agree, Matt should be playing 5 minutes or less. Really hurting the team

Obviously, you missed the last game.  Matt played a complete offensive and defensive game with the only exception two missed bunnies.

I'd rather go with who "stepped up" the most beyond their usual performance.

That would be OOTG (Overperformer Of The Game), not necessarily SOTG

i think we match up well here.  johnnies are due for a let down.

big concern-will refs allow the players to play or do we get into some serious foul trouble trying to defend the slashers?  if its close near the end-foul bashir-60%.  get him a little gassed and send him to the line. otherwise, as a team, without him, they are 80%!

Last time we won two in a row on the road? Found it, @DePaul, @Creighton two years ago. Actually surprising to me.

December 2017.  Wisconsin and PC.  Or are you saying back to back?

St John's is horrible at defending the 3 and really good at protecting the rim.....hmmm

St John's is terrible at rebounding and at shooting in general but especially 3s.....hmmm

St John's plays the same 5 players 84% of the time....hmmm

If I were to use my Magic 8 ball, it'd come up pretty consistently as "all signs point to yes" on the question of whether or not we win.

didn't you say they were garbage?
