We R Final Four

I knew we would be there, just didn't think the DePaul win would have such an impact.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Just the mere presence of Joey redshirting lifts up to #5!

A year from now, we'll look back at that and say, "Damn ... how did they know?"
"It's not how white men fight." - Tucker Carlson

"Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism." - George Washington

Didn't see a great ranking thread to bump, so went with this one....

New AP poll out this morning.

1. Nova
6. Xavier

30. Creighton
31. Seton Hall

I just wanted to say that Creighton and especially Seton Hall are vastly under-ranked.  Creighton I can see a little bit due to their recent injury, and I know Hall has been sputtering a bit lately, but their body of work is easily top 20 material.

Seton Hall (RPI:19; SOS: 21)
Wins vs. Texas Tech (RPI: 18, ranked 10), @ Butler and @ Louisville.  Other quality wins including Indiana, VCU, Creighton.

Sure they have a bad loss to @ Rutgers.  But this team is top 20 material.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

SH is 32 in KenPom. KP has never peaked SH as highly as the rankings did. Top 50 offense, Top 50 defense, dominates O-boards. Seems fair.

Ugh..... there is no such thing as places higher than 25 in the AP, people.  If you want to ascribe numbers to teams higher than 25, please use RPI, KenPom, Sag, or if you insist on AP metrics, use the number "RV" which according to the proof below, stands for "more than 25".

Pirates say "Rrrrrrrr", which shortens to R
Phonetically, R translates to the Greek letter P
P (Greek) is written as "rho," and pronounced "row," which is what pirates did in their early ships.
Therefore, Pirate = R
Further, the emoticon for a pirate is ">XX" derived from the skull emoticon being ">X" and crossbones being "X"
If Pirate = R and R = >XX, then RV = >XXV
XXV = 25 (Roman Numerals)
Therefore, "RV" = "Greater than 25"

If you want less stupid proofs, then please use AP rankings correctly.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

lol.  You completely missed the point of the post....but go ahead and get hung up on 4 characters showing where SH and Butler "rank" in the receiving votes tally.

Even had you cited universal truth, e.g. "Bucky sucks, irregardless," I don't care how unequivocal your point is, someone's going to call you out on the "irregardless" part, if for no other reason than that it detracts from the point and perhaps jeopardizes its validity by association.

In other words, I strongly agree with your point... I hate to see it cheapened by poor interpretation of AP voting results.
