James is OK

Just got off the phone with Tom Crean, who said that further testing indicated that Dominic James' injury is indeed a sprained right wrist, and that he's not expected to miss any time because of it.
James hurt the wrist last night after being intentionally fouled by Seton Hall's Jamar Nutter on a layup. He left the game initially but returned with just over two minutes to go and finished it out, knocking down two key free throws with 57.4 seconds left in the process.
MU hosts Notre Dame at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bradley Center.

Pretty much expected, but still great news to get the confirmation that DJ should be ready to go Saturday. Thanks for the update, Todd.

The only thing I don't like is that it's his right wrist.  A little tweak can throw a shot off.  I hope it's fine by Saturday.

Normally I'd agree, but he did make those 2 free throws to ice the game after he got hurt  ;D

or improve it.....
Once a warrior always a warrior.. even if the feathers must now come with a beak.

I realize Dom scores about 13 pts a game, but even if he isn't shooting, if the wrist is decent enough to dribble, Id put him out there because of what he can create.  If he can get the zone to collapse, then others have to step up.  If the zone doesn't collapse, he should be close enough to the basket for a little flip

he has a brace on at the bucks-heat game tonight.  hopefully the talk on espnews about dj missing 3-4 games isn't true.

If he was able to knock down the Fts on the same night he got hurt, I would think that four days later, he'd be good to go

Except that's not how a sprain works.  It takes awhile for the inflammation to kick in while the body tries to heal.  That's when it gets sore and difficult to manage.  I sprained my ankle bad back in my senior year of hs basketball and after the initial pain, I was ok and tried to walk on it a bit.  I thought it was no big deal.  Went to the ER to be sure, they said it was just a sprain.  No big deal.  Then, the next morning when the blood rushed to my legs as I got up, I was in just terrible pain.  Sprains are tough to predict.

Hopefully wrists work a little differently than ankles then!
