"The NCAA announced its ruling in the Louisville basketball infractions case on Thursday, suspending coach Rick Pitino for five Atlantic Coast Conference games for this upcoming season and releasing a host of other sanctions.

Former director of basketball operations Andre McGee received a 10-year show cause order, and former program assistant Brandon Williams received a one-year show cause order.

The NCAA also hit Louisville with what it described as "a vacation of basketball records in which student-athletes competed while ineligible from December 2010 and July 2014."

Too bad it doesn't work that way.

Yep. Remember,  Jim Boeheim has been the head coach in 1000 games that his opponent lost.

reading the Cards Scout board it appears the NCAA determined 3 players as ineligible and they played in 108 games and 15 NCAA games

they are screwed because there doesn't appear to be any process to reinstate eligibility after the players have left the school, IMO it seems kind of extreme to vacate every game they played in for a single event - of course had L'ville reported this when it happened they could possibly have applied for reinstatement while they were still enrolled

This wasn't a single event.
