McDonald's All-American Games leaving Chicago

The top high school basketball showcase in the country is leaving Chicago after a seven-year run at the United Center.

Looking to revamp the annual McDonald's All-American Games, the fast food giant has cut its deal with the arena short by a year and will move the event back to a rotation of cities beginning in 2018.

A lot more to this story than this, games were supposed to be moved out of Chicago before last year's game.

It hasn't been announced publicly, but next year it's going to a large city in the South that loves college sports, 2019 to a mega city in the Northeast, 2020 to a large Midwest city that it just left. I can't say more than that though.

I'll play. Dallas, NYC, and Chicago.

FWIW, I watch tons of elite HS bball, but haven't watched more than a few mins in passing of a McD game. Irrelevant
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Game itself is just a dunk contest. The events around the game are what's important to the players, and the money raised from the game is of vital importance to folks like me who have lived in a Ronald McDonald House (which is the beneficiary of the week long events).

Atlanta was one of my first thoughts but I thought the Jerry Dome made sense, too.

Way too big.  And Dallas is more of a professional sports town anyway.

Atlanta is the answer, I believe.

I'm not trying to play coy, but a lot of people guessed the correct answer.
