Winning tickets is one thing, but are the seats in the nosebleed section. Also, will they have to pay airfare and hotels in subsequent years, not to mention the IRS counting the winnings as income.

Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Poor guy.

My thoughts too.  I'd rather just try to get the cash value of the prize, pay the tax, and keep whatever's left....

That's what StubHub is for. There probably aren't too many prizes that are easier to convert to cash than Super Bowl tickets. Currently, the cheapest ticket on StubHub is $2,595.  Sure, it'd be nice to save the trouble of having to sell them each year, but somehow I'd get over it.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

Cash value might be $0.00 because they're promotional tickets, but if there was a cash option, you're probably not going to get much more than face value on today's face multiplied by life expectancy.

I'd rather take the tickets... pay tax on face, sell at secondary retail.  Then you just hope for the game between the Cowboys and Patriots to hit and watch the ticket price go through the roof.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
