MU82's MF'er comment was a joke, not directed at you.  Katin was dropping lots of MF'ers during the comeback I guess.

What about his post game interview made him think he was about him more than the team?

I wasn't really sure, but as I still read it it, I have my doubts, but whatever...I just thought it was weird.

As for Katie's post game, I was really pulling for him as I was very happy for not only him, but wojo and the whole team.  I haven't gone back to listen to it again, but my first impressions were that he started out heavy with the "me" stuff, but then leveled off. Don't get me wrong.  to come out after playing one of the biggest games of your life, playing a CRUCIAL role, impromptu before a national audience ain't easy.  He's fine.  I do like how he tried to give some credit to our "higher power" as we still are MARQUETTE

Then you are not paying attention.
Hitting big shots, making the extra open pass, telling teammates where to be on def, sets attitude with other teams players, hitting really big shots, getting teammates focused during timeouts, explaining game scenarios before the inbounds, running point,  92% FTs, etc.
You can call it what you like, but that is a leader on the court.

You forgot wanting the ball in his hands at the end of a tie game.

blikemike2

If the definition of a leader is a guy who will hit huge free throws and be an absolute sniper in crunch time then yes he is a leader. It took awhile but he found a role as our point forward. WE are dangerous (offensively).

Wheres Sand-Knit and duanewade?
Sand-Knut briefly poked his asinine head up to-- you guessed it-- rip on Luke and JJJ this morning, post-win.  He loves the new post-fact world.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

I'm pretty sure it was. This was mentioned earlier in the thread

After Sam's 3, Kaitin looked right up into sec 200 and screamed "MARQUETTE MOTHER
F&$@CKERS!!!!"
I got goose bumps. What a night.

Interesting article from Gottlieb about his transfer from UNLV -> USC back in 2013.

Basically feels most comfortable when he's given an opportunity to create ala Jimmer.  Definitely has been successful this past week in the lead role with the ball in his hands, both scoring and making the right pass when available.

No sweat, rocket. But hey, you gotta be quick-witted to keep up with us old, bald, Jew-turned-atheists.

Katin is a stud. He went to one of the best basketball high schools in the country and learned the fundamentals while playing against top flight competition. I saw him play many times as a young man so for me his development into a team leader is not unexpected. Remember he has only played half a season with these teammates. What do you expect? That he come in and take charge from day one? That's not how real leadership emerges. Anyhow, MU is figuring things out and playing good ball. I'm excited to see them continue to progress and play great ball in March. Make it to the NCAAs and our Warriors will not be an easy out.

Oh SoCal ... coming onto Scoop and trotting out tired, old silliness such as logic and reason? Some people never learn.

May God bless ya there, MU.  The adrenaline was running thru me like the dude needing to call 911 after 4 hours on a veee agray buzz.  Hard to think straight either way, A'na?
