I don't really pay attention to Wisconsin recruiting; but, what is the story behind freshmen forward John Leur? As a freshman, he is dominating Michigan in points (23 pts with 3 minutes left), he did however only score 2 pts in the Texas game with ten minutes of playing time and he had 9 pts with 13 minutes of play at Marquette.  Was he on Marquette's radar last year for recruiting or was it just potentially a good pick up for Bo?

don't know much about his recruiting but for a Frosh he has shown flashes of being a pretty good college player. he is going to be a pain in the a$$ for us down the raod

I am not looking forward to having to deal with this guy for 3 more years.  I imagine many teams felt that way about Novak.  Leuer is nowhere near the shooter Novak was, who is though, but he has a more well rounded floor game.  He will be a pain in the rear for a lot of teams during his career.

Looking at his Scout profile, he was a 4-star PF with offers from IU, ND, MN, UL, OU, WVU, Iowa, Iowa St. and Arizona St.  Not too shabby of a list of suitors.  So, it's not like he was flying under the radar.  With him being from MN, I have to wonder why we never showed any interest.  Not sure if he would have fit in with our current style of play - maybe I just answered my own question.
