We made some win/loss predictions. It was less based on individual matchups and more on how Marquette will generally perform in its toughest games this year.

Our end results ended up being pretty good, to the surprise of even me. We projected Marquette to finish 21-10/11-7.

Two things that factored into our projections were the "unexpected big win" and the "unexpected bad loss." Every year there's a pair. Last season it was Providence (who was top-ten nationally at the time) on the road and DePaul at home (cringe).

We chose TWO unexpected big wins: at Villanova for the third Big East game and at home against Xavier for National Marquette Day. Our unexpected bad loss is St. John's on the road.

What will be our big win and big loss this year?
