MU falls in poll

Despite whipping up on both IPFW and Coppin State last week, the Marquette Golden Eagles fell from 10th to 12th in the Associated Press' media poll on Monday.

The drop was due to a few circumstances: Pittsburgh moving up to sixth from 11th after knocking off Duke;
Duke falling from sixth to 10th; and Tennessee moving up to 11th from 12th after knocking off Xavier.

Not exactly a great pre-holiday present for the Golden Eagles, but who really puts a lot of stock into rankings this time of year, anyway?
