It's Gary Shandling's Show was funny, but his greatest achievement IMO was the Larry Sanders Show, which was groundbreaking and has been copied by so many other shows.  Really introduced the cringe humor that is so popular now.  Larry Sanders had a big ego, but Shandling didn't, as Jeffrey Tambor and Rip Torn frequently got the big laughs on that show.

RIP.
