Should there be a meme tournament this year?

It's that time of year again and I wanted to get the pulse of everyone on the meme tournament. It's been a great run the last two years, but I'm not sure this needs to be an every year thing. Might be good to take a year off (it is a fair amount of work) but thought I'd get feed back from Scoop.

Oh, and if there is overwhelming support for a meme tournament....what are the new memes since June of last year, post them in response to this thread. Even if we don't have the tournament this year I'll save the new memes that are good for next year.

I would like to submit the meme of "MU82 going perma-teal" for the selection committee's consideration.  He's taken sarcastic posts to a new level the past few months by including sarcasm in every single post he makes, all while refusing to use teal.

In honor of the Vegas 16, maybe a modified Scoop 16 tourney with last years great 8 and 8 new comers from this year.  I'd hate to see 'Wojo's leash' and 'the great Matt V plagiarism debate' not get some post season action after their bodies of work this season.

MUScoop Misses Meme NIT

As fan boards across the nation waited anxiously, MUScoop was left on the outside looking in of the National Meme Invitational Tournament.

Even without a berth in the NMIT, a field that features a record 15 regular-season fan board champions that made it via automatic berth, MUScoop could have decided to extend its griping season. The College Meme Invitational and inaugural Vegas Meme 16 tournaments offer boards the opportunity to pay for inclusion in their brackets.

MUEng03 said the mods didn't have much discussion about entering either of those tournaments.

"Basically we've been going at it since mid-July with the whining, complaining, and the foreign tour (gushing over Thomas Bilde)," Eng03 said. "Our memes are exhausted....If we weren't going to be invited to an invitation meme tournament then it's the end of the season."
