No offense but if Wojo needs a "Hank" we should have hired Cuonzo or a Howland. Wojo won the interview so it is on him to win on the floor now.

Wojo needs an "offensive coordinator" to teach the offense (preferably a different one, that works), call situational plays in games, diagram the plays during timeouts so the young'uns don't panic, and control the general offensive strategy.  I thought the Az guy was supposed to do that, but I see now that he's not.  IMHO, this is a definite requirement and a good AD would be telling this to Wojo right now.

Cannot make a change now, but from what I hear coming out of Bloomington, tan Tommy might be in the market come April.

At least he knows how to get to the Al without getting lost.

Tan Tommy was probably the worst "in game" coach MU has ever had.  I wouldn't employ to paint lines in the parking lot.

Al did not need a Hank, but Wojo does in a hurry or he might not be here long. Actually I think Wojo is a Hank and not a head coach. He knows the game, played at highest level and learned from Coach K and might just be assistant material.

Al would have vehemently disagreed with you.  And Hank's problem wasn't Xs and Os.  It's that he got essentially 2-3 high D1 recruits during his tenure.

Goose

Actually in truth Al would not have argued that in private. Al knew ball and how to coach by nature and I can assure you anyone in the know would agree with me. Al pumped Hanks tires for many reasons, but hardly needed. That said, he was greatly appreciated.
