I think the only player who looked good was JJJ, Haanif looked ok but 7 tos is an awful lot.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

TAMU, Knower of Ball

One thing I notice from the box score is 14 steals for Iowa and 19 turnovers for us. That means we only had 5 unforced turnovers. Much better than our previous two outings. But it really speaks to Iowa's defense and are inability to make good passes. Really need to work on that aspect of the game.

Although some of those "steals" were a result of us dribbling the ball right to them.  Haanif and Henry each had at least one of that variety.

Most steals came from drives down the lane against a sagging defense.  I guess they could have changed strategy and started shooting threes.

Henry had some balls stolen that were painfully predictable. You could see it coming a mile away. Call it unforced all you like, but our guys made those steals about as difficult as a running back accepting a handoff.

True.   There were moments where he caught the pass and his entire body said that he was going to make a move to the basket.   Iowa was expecting this, Henry started his telegraphed move and Iowa collapsed and turned him over.

I sincerely don't want to derail this topic, but watching Luke and Henry really makes me wish we had Big East style big men instead.  Give me an Ochefu or Obekpa type player any day over what we have.  I'll take quickness, athleticism, and the ability to play up tempo despite being only 6'7"-6'9".

There is a brand of basketball that is/was represented by the Big East.  We don't resemble a Big East team to me anymore.

The Big East Style Big Men are going to give our guys a lot of problems unless we learn to move the ball faster.
