What is amazing is that back in the day we were an independent and our entire schedule had to be constructed from scratch. Given our stature we played some great schools but we did have a lot of Stetsons and St Leos on the card as well.

People are gnashing their teeth but there is a purpose to the schedule built for this team. Let the guys who know their business get the job done.

I had the same thought, Crash. Independents had a hard time scheduling conference teams back then. That's why often times MU had a better record than almost all the teams ahead of them in the AP & UPI polls. Writers didn't respect the patsies.
