Georgetown played in the Battle 4 Atlantis over Thanksgiving (beating Florida and losing to Wisconsin and Butler)

Now I turn on the ESPN2 and I see their are playing Indiana at MSG in the Indeed Tournament (GU down by 2 just before half).

I thought a team was limited to one holiday tournament a season.  How can Georgetown be playing two?

This isn't really a tournament.  It is simply one game at MSG that is being called the "Indeed Invitational."  No different than when Marquette played in the Coaches v. Cancer game at MSG a couple years ago.

Makes sense ...

What threw me was the giant letters that said "Invitational" written across the middle of the floor.  My bad for thinking this meant it was a tournament.  I should have known the difference between a tournament and invitational!

Unfortunately, GU down 10 at the half to IU.  Squirmy.

There is no such thing AA's "holiday tournament"

There are exempt tourneys, under which you *can* play 4 games "in"... but you can only participate in 1 such exempt tourney per season.

This is not an exempt tourney

Overtime.
Not the best last possession by GT.
Let's go, take down the Hoosiers. It's Indiana.

My question about scheduling refers more to the trips teams make to get as close as possible to the seniors' home states.

With Derrick (AK) and Juan (CA), I looked forward to a West Coast swing.

Alas...Buzz did us in again.

NCAA host sites in Portland, Seattle and LA. Wojo has it scripted out perfectly including a finale in Indy for The Travis Returns Tour.
