Rocks.

His coverage for JS has been a welcome change.

Ditto this sentiment. Has been a bright spot on this up and down season especially compared to the previous beat writer. He and Todd have out in some great work on MU hoops coverage.

Any way to get his articles to automatically feed to Scoop?  I think we used to have that with Todd's posts.

My guess is that Matt gets "credit" for actual hits on his articles.  If that is correct, we should be posting a link, and going to the JS in order to benefit Matt.

Agreed... if there was an "auto-thread notification" which contained only a link to a new post/article, that would be great... but we should all be clicking through to Matt's work.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I wasnt suggesting otherwise -- believe the feed used to have the title, the first sentence and a link.

I put the feed back, but as you'll be able to tell, about every 15 min it will post a new article until it catches up with his current one.  He's not living in the past...it's us!

Please be patient.  We're starting from Dec 29.  I'll probably remove the "old" ones as I have time.

Thanks for your work Rocky.

Funny story on that.  The very first time we pulled in the JS RSS feed, it contained the entire text of each article.  Their lawyer sent me a cease an desist letter (or at least an email indicating I was violating the copyright).  I explained that RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and so by putting that Syndication out there, they were essentially giving me the right to whatever they had Syndicated to the public.  I also had to inform them, that the technology existed to limit the feed to a title, intro, and link...and that their IT department should be able to solve the matter easier than a lawyer.

In a few days they got the RSS feed fixed, and I never heard from them again.

Only in the USA.  Call the lawyer first instead of the guy that can solve the problem in 5 minutes.
Priceless story.

Hey... we have mouths to feed and blue and gold funds to fund to get points too.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

It's all about the points!
