very curious how this could change the game as we know it.  any lawyers out there understand any of this as to what the chances of the plaintiffs winning this thing?  i'm sure it will be appealed and appealed...why the heck bill russell and oscar robertson are involved?  probably for support but i doubt they want back pay.  if the plaintiffs do win this thing, katy bar the door.  our season tickets and seat licenses are cheap now, but...

Hausfeld is an ambulance chaser. It's about him and greed.

The June 9th trial has no jury. Awful. Now (a dramatic change in stance) according to Hausfeld, **no one** wants to be compensated. No longer is anyone seeking individual damages. Hausfeld wanted this changed to improve his chances at $.

Hausfield is an excellent attorney and I expect he will win the case. The "dramatic change" eliminates some of the complexities of the case - leading to the quicker trial.

o.k.  let's say the plaintiffs/hausfield wins.  do the players essentially become free agents coming out of high school or transferring to another school?  hello drew rosenhaus et. al.  this could ruin college sports as we know it.  we'll have nba e-league and nfl lite

Just as free agency ruined the NBA, MLB, and the NFL. The poor owners are almost destitute.

But, seriously, we do not know yet what most of the ramifications will be. The only one we know for sure is that more money will be made by the owners (schools).

Dude, the fans are paying for free agency.  Players are richer, way richer.  Isn't that what guys like you want.  Stick it to the man and everything.   Owners were rich before free agency and richer after.

I'm assuming you mean the fans are paying through ticket sales, which is wildly incorrect.

The antitrust suit would be a bigger issue than the unionization push by Northwestern. Oddly enough though, if the NCAA and its membership lose the antitrust case, they might want players unionizing.
