The number 1 football recruit in the country this year is Seantrel Henderson, 6'7" 330 lbs OT from Minnesota.  He was committed to USC before everything hit the fan and now USC let him out of his LOI.  I cannot believe they would not honor a contract and force him to stay, but I digress.

Henderson was also offered a basketball schollie from MU.  He's available for this fall, would not have to sit a year.  We are always looking for "bigs"  they do not come much bigger than Henderson.

Should Reggie Smith worry when an assistant says "stop by my office, we need to talk?"

SaintPaulWarrior

I would be worried if I was a b-ball player at U of Miami.

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Jay Bee

(Seantrel)

He's been ballin in the Howard Pulley / June Miller Pro City League in St. Paul as of late.. but word is he was down in Miami this weekend.  Really wish he'd go to Minnesota, but looks like Miami will be the destination.

And some lucky FOOTBALL team will be glad that that is true.

Following the trail of another Howard Pulley alum, I see.

Henderson is going to play football, and I fully believe that he will develop into a first round pick at tackle. Basketball may be his first love as he has said in the past, but it won't pay the bills. He's playing football.

Are you sure we really offered and this wasn't just a self-reported offer?

Windyplayer

Why bother if he won't be standing next to Acker on the floor? Really, how entertaining would that be. I'm pretty sure the novelty wouldn't wear off until the season was over.

We all know Buzz's love of writing letters.  This is from a cached page on recruiting planet ...

Henderson has attracted interest from Division I basketball programs, too. Henderson said he gets two or three letters a day from Marquette

Yes way back when he was the offensive version of Clowney.  And he was a great hoop player which is why MU offered him in HS to be our Power Forward.

Fast forward to today

7th round 237 pick to Buffalo

I thought that name looked familiar when watching the draft.

Admittedly his draft position had a lot more to do with his off field activities than his on the field abilities
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Went to high school with the kid. He was a few years behind me. Great football player, dumber than a bag of hammers.

So...why are we talking about him now as a potential MU recruit. With that description, he is not the ideal fit.

Even worse fit when you consider he was just drafted in the NFL.

We aren't.  The thread is 4 years old.  Someone just bumped it to add that he was drafted.

Yes, instead of explaining who Seantrel was all over again, I bumped up a four year old thread.  See the dates in the posts above.

And that was before all those doobies....

The kid is holding a golden Willy Wonka ticket to NFL riches and I'm certain that he'll never dress for an NFL game.
