Marquette Year in Review: Juan Anderson

We apologize for these player reviews being so late into the offseason â€" Marquette played its last game nearly two months ago â€" but that pesky thing called the real world got in the way. That, and the coaching chance made us put these bad boys on the back burner. We’ll try and give you [...]<img alt="" border="0" src="http://stats.wordpress.com/b.gif?host=painttouches.com&blog=28348875&post=11771&subd=painttouches&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" />

Agree with most of this.   Was expecting him to take a step forward.   He did not.  He is going to have to step up next year.    And he is going to have to play big.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

It will be interesting to see how Juan performs next year. I think mentally it is important to Juan to start and perhaps that is why Buzz started him so much. My overall impression of Juan is that he is an open court player. He would perform much better on a pressing defensive team and a fast break offense team. He is not really a half court player. What I was really looking forward to last year was the five and dime show, which basically did not happen. JJJ and Juan combining on a fast break would of been a thing of beauty. They were rarely on the court together and the inability of MU to create live ball turnovers resulted in most games without a break away dunk to excite the crowd. Burton would also of been outstanding on a fast break, but he was always stuck under the defensive basket trying to rebound. Last year, besides not being good, we were boring. I missed the days of Dominic James or DJO throwing one done on a fast break.
