Or does the NCAA screw guys who transfer mid-semester?

Yes they do.  He loses year one and half of year two.

I really hate the NCAA, their rules are obnoxious, stupid, and just stick it to the athletes they pretend to care about.   Just a bunch of idiot bureaucrats.

Yes and no...I think they have a choice.  I believe if he (and Marquette) were willing to sit out all of 2014-2015, he would still have 3 years left.  The problem is that you can only play in 4 academic years (unless you are Otule...).

You need a better understanding of the NCAA....it is an association.  The rules are made up and VOTED ON by the member institutions, including Marquette.  MU, UW, ND, UWM, etc, etc...all vote on these rules.  The NCAA enforces them.

Excited to watch Sandy play for MU!

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I fully understand the NCAA structure.  But how much influence do we and many of its members actually have?  Does anyone from MU current or in recent history sit on any of their committees, subcommittees, etc. that propose legislation, rule changes, and the like?  If there has been, I sure don't recall it.  I stand by my earlier statement.

MU has a vote and you can look at how MU has voted on legislation over the years.  You will find MU has voted almost always for the structure of rules that are in place.

That's because that sonuvabitch Larry was a football player, from Notre Dame no less! Marquette will start voting correctly once again now that Bill Cords is back.

I only found out that LW went to ND recently when I noticed it was scrawled above a urinal in the Physics Lab at U Dub.

They have urinals in the Physics Lab?  No wonder they do such piss-poor physics models.
