Do you think we will start to shape our rosters differently going forward? I looked at the Duke roster and they had 6 people 6'8" or taller. I would have to think with Wojo being previously coaching the Duke big men, that he would put much more emphasis on getting more bigs in here than Brent did. I guess I would hope so...next year could get really ugly up front while waiting for Fischer. I also don't think it's a given he would want the same players Buzz did in next years class besides Hill and Cohen. I'm thinking he would want a couple of bigs to balance things out more.

Duke's had some very successful frontcourts on their way to the Titles.

1991: Laettner was the big name F/C. Hill was the big name G/F
1992: Laettner was joined by Parks and Meek.
2000: Boozer was the big name F/C. Battier was the big name F.
2009: Zoubek was the C with the Plumlee bros. and Singler in the frontcourt.

One thing I am looking forward to (hopefully) is the recruiting and utilization of more shooters to spread the floor.  Guys like (recently) Novak and Diener that are just waiting to shoot that spread the floor.  With Buzz's switchable, which were fun to watch (with Butler, Crowder, Jamil, etc.), I was always wanting more defined sets and positions.  I can only imagine the players would get confused as to what their roles were as well.

Agreed.

Duke's key to many victories is utilizing the three which means spacing the floor and kicking and driving.
But it's imperative 1-4 and hopefully the 5 will successfully drain the 3pter.

Too bad there aren't some more Plumlee boys out there. I remember seeing their dad Perky play against us back in '83-'84 when he was at Tennessee Tech.

I'm not ever going to compare wojo's recruiting to that of duke. We are entirely different program and I don't think he will run it the exact same way or have the same type of recruit.

I am excited and curious to see what types of players he goes after and wants going forward. Exciting times at MU. The entire process is "refreshing" like many have said.

I'd go ahead and say that Duke has problems getting decent bigs as well.  Most of the big time big men are at Kentucky, Kansas, UNC.  Duke has become much more guard oriented of late.

All I kept thinking about watching MU this past season was always hearing Buzz say on signing days in fall and spring, how he wants guys who can dribble, pass, and shoot.  Got so tired of hearing that b.s. from him, especially when he didn't back it up in many of his recruits he and his staff brought in.

With good reason. I've never understood why any decent big would want to play in K's system which uses bigs to set screens and rebound. It has become so shooting guard oriented -a true "live by the three, die by the three" offense.

Admission standards may also have a say at Duke. I believe that their academic standards are higher than Ky. or Ks. Don't know about UNC. Anybody out there have more knowledge on that subject?
