Veteran PG who can drop a bucket and has bounced around a bit is graduating BYU and looking elsewhere for his last season. MU likely to have at least one spot open and rather than take a flyer on a prep prospect perhaps Wojo should inquire here? Carlino went to high school in Arizona so maybe he wants to stay on left coast but he did originally commit to Indiana.

We currently have 3 PGs on the roster and another coming the year after. I think we will be ok.

LAZER

Originally committed to Indiana, played at UCLA, transferred to BYU, now transferrring again?  No thanks.

Did you get the part about him being a one year, immediately available guy?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

One of those guys isn't a PG. The other is severely limited as we've seen for three campaigns. And the third saw such limited and inconsistent action as a Freshman he's an unknown next season.

crap, why would we want to bring in a veteran 1 who has game on both sides of the ball that can create depth and balance out the five positions? I mean, it worked for naught with that Lockett guy.

I'll preface this by saying that I live in Utah and have seen a lot of Carlino the past couple of years. Not interested, thanks. He's a pretty good shooter/scorer, but he may have literally never seen a shot he doesn't like. The guy is a volume shooter that doesn't play much defense. There have been a handful of games over his career that he has shot his team out of the game. Most recently, the WCC Championship game some of you may have watched-- BYU was making a comeback before three straight ill advised rocks from Carlino with about 8 minutes left. This selfishness is what led to Carlino losing his starting spot this year. The joke went for BYU fans that there was no worse way to start the game than Carlino hitting his first couple shots, because that means he's putting up 20+ shots that night. He has been to two high schools and three colleges now (not including the fact he was originally committed to Indiana), so you could infer that he may not be the highest quality locker room guy even though he is a senior. BYU fans were not very upset to see him go... I'd personally rather roll with our current crop of point guards. Just my two cents, though.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

I'd take him in a heartbeat. But I'd rather have a veteran center transfer in to help bridge the gap to Fischer

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Would love to see Matt here for a season. The kid had multiple schollie offers when in eight grade and actually was in Time magazine as an eight grader. He is tough kid and has logged a lot of miles but would take him in a heartbeat.

Perhaps he should be thrown in prison for transferring so much.

Saw another like this on Goodman's transfer list a couple days ago.  I'm fully supportive of the graduate transfer rule as a reward for graduating and being a real student.  But I think it should only be allowed if they haven't already transferred once.  It's cheap that a school puts them on scholarship when they sit out a year after taking in a transfer, only for that to be leveraged and result in a transfer out for the fifth year.
