Has College Athletics Lost its Way?

I post this article about Ulice Payne and ask how many recent players have been this successful after basketball. All we see any more are the one and Dones like they have at Kentucky and wonder if this is the new model in the quest to win championships. I hope not. To me it cheapens the tournament to nothing more than a minor league NBA playoff and deprives young men like Ulice to become more than just a basketball player. Go ahead and crucify me but I hope Bo and his Wisconsin team beat the crap out Kentucky. At least a few of his guys will graduate and hopefully succeed at something other than basketball
