It's still 1 bid in 6 years.  That one bid, the play in game.  They got lucky that Mercer bumped off Duke most likely...part of the crapshoot.  Five two star recruits....ouch. 

Howland was out of work last year because he made too much money to go back to work.  He was better off not working and collecting money.  This year, I don't know.  Red flags, too much money, etc?  Who knows.  Don't think anyone here is claiming we should get Pitino, Izzo, Cal or anyone of that nature.  However, I think plenty of people were concerned about a coach with 1 bid in 6 years, a bunch of 2 star recruits and a fan base where he currently is at that had 36,000 fans sign a petition saying they wanted another guy.  That's plenty of red flags.

I believe they have been mentioned here for the last 10 days.  For some reason, MU doesn't want to engage with some of them it seems, or maybe that isn't the case.

If MU's best bet is to go after a guy with 1 bid in 6 years, we have bigger issues.  We can do better.
