Texas Western

I am feeling very good about next season. Deonte, Mayo, Dawson, Fischer , JJJ, Duane are aime nice players to build around. Derek and Juan will go back to the bench and be situation substitutes . Whoever contributes from the freshman will be frosting on the cake. Cuonzo or Whoever we hire has a lot to work with. The day we hire he coach momentum will build.

Isn't Texas Western called UTEP now?

But while I agree with you we only really know 2 or 3 of them are returning right? And while I think those who we know are returning is a good start we need to see the whole team first.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

It is but I like the old school name.

I think everyone will return. The kids know that Buzz had a screw loose and they like being here at Marquette. Big chance for JJJ with the new coach.

Thanks for the re-assurance that you'll give him playing time, coach.

Is that JJJ in the back hitting the workouts hard  in this pic from this morning?

Yes it is. Saw that earlier. I'm guessing he stays.

New Coach = Clean Slate

Any player with confidence will jump at a clean slate.  I'd think anyone on the bench who felt they deserved more playing time is sticking around.  They'd only leave if they believed they weren't good enough all along.  I think nearly all stay.

If the new coach can keep the guys here + the recruits (big If), I am very optimistic about next year. Back to the dance.
