Being a very talented Freshman, Thompson averaged 5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 16.2 minutes per game this past season.  His father told Mark Berman of the Roanoke Times that Thompson will seek his transfer, and that Buzz Williams has granted the request.

Buzz reportedly called him soft and berated him in front of all his teammates, when his cell phone went off in a meeting.  After the cell phone went off, Buzz said" I'll grant you your release right away, if that's what you want."

Way to scare away your best Freshman Buzz.  There may be a spot @ MU for Thompson......
