Surprised this happens still after the George O'Leary fiasco a decade ago.

You can't dodge a bullet if you weren't within the range of the gun being fired to begin with.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

His coaching career isn't over.  The problem is never hiring a known liar.  It's discovering someone is a liar.  See: O'Leary, George; Pearl, Bruce; Petrino, Bobby; etc.

I would consider him within the range of CONSIDERATION not HIRING

Seems strange to me that he would lie about that.  Does a college degree matter that much when you've already proven yourself as a head coach on the D1 level?

If you lie about that, what else are you going lie about?

Staying as long as they'll have you?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Apparently he did not graduate from UK and falsified information on his resume.

I hate to be prejudice, but when I heard this guy in an interview before the Louisville game ..... he just gave off the aura of having a thick coat of slime about him.  I guess my instincts were correct.  Personally, I was on the bandwagon for him to come to MU.  Funny thing is..... he probably just cost himself a few million with that "error" on his resume.

Agree. I think Brent wore out his welcome and MU was happy to see him walk.

I totally understand not wanting to hire a liar.  I don't understand why he would lie in the first place.  Maybe he falsified his resume long ago and it has followed him since... a tangled web.

The Rutgers coach lied about having been graduated from Rutgers! Last I looked he's still their coach.

USF just fired him without ever having him work there.

And he wasn't even a lesbian.  Go figure.
