...is that Chico's is right. He does need to adjust his coaching evaluations to be on a 6 year period.

Chicos was right when he called bullchit on Buzz's quote, "I will stay here as long as they will have me."

He was. So were the Badger fans. I'm just trying to give him a backhanded compliment for all of the sh*t he's taken the past 6 years. We'll be fine. Marquette is too fine a school and basketball program to be anyone's second choice.

is now we have to listen to (or read) Willie's snarking....
HILLTOP SENIOR SURVEY from 1984 Yearbook:
Favorite Drinking Establishment:

1. The Avalanche.              7. Major Goolsby's.
2. The Gym.                      8. Park Avenue.
3. The Ardmore.                 9. Mugrack.
4. O'Donohues.                 10. Lighthouse.
5. O'Pagets.
6. Hagerty's.

Honestly, what coach (or any profession) would make say anything different publicly.
Good luck, Coach. Thanks for everything.

a nod to Chicos.... Buzz obviously was not the 'home'boy we thought/hoped he was.
at least in comparison to TommyTanMan.

regardless, shows that just about anyone BUT an alum (who for whatever reason intrinsically loves their alma mater) has no qualms in leaving for whatever they feel are greener or more appropriate pastures.
business is like that.
next best thing- loyalty? secondary at best.

I'd rather be known for being right saying never believe a word out of a coaches mouth....they're politicians.  You get that way when your life is reliant on 18-22 year old kids, many of them with their own foibles.  Then having to play grab ass with alums and boosters all the time, it changes people.  Unfortunate.

muwarrior97

Coaches are hired to be fired or leave while they can get another gig.....$18M reasons why, pretty good for Buzz and family, the current Marquette players and recruits not so much

Maybe JJJ is happy since he might see the court now

I suspect we've all known that you were right all along. Buzz did a fantastic job while he was here. Hopefully, it was all above board (unlike some recent threads suggest). However, I have a hard time imagining many of us haven't rolled our eyes a time or two at some of his "buzzisms" even if we never previously admitted it.

JD is one of the few to have actually worked in that patch and he did so at not one, not two, but three Athletic Departments that play high major hoops. So other than some of the players who visit here he has a keener appreciation for the rose water and vinegar aromas of that world.
