I don't think I saw anything changed from the point that Marquette was down 5 with 7 and change to go that could be attributed to coaching. Our plan got us to a legitimate chance with 7 to go. McDermott proceeded to go bananas and lead CU on an 8-2 run and MU simply couldn't come back. Unless buzz is telling Derrick to have his back to the ball or mayo to allow his man to shoot open floaters I'm not sure how you pin this on buzz.
That's why you're not the resident coaching expert and ol' man willie is

5 seconds left on the shot clock and Jamil gives Doug space...rest of the game fell apart from there.

maybe i'm dumb. but why are we back to this? seriously. we just won 3 of 4 games. do you really believe the loss is because derrick can't hit an outside shot? then how could we possible have won the past 3?

Cause we played Butler, Seton Hall, and Xavier.  Want to compete with Creighton and Villanova, you need a point guard that drains threes when he has six feet of open room and the ball and who hits better than 2-7 from the line.  Also need a star big who makes more than two field goals and can play adequate defense, a star wing who shoots better than 4-11, attempts more than three free throws and plays adequate defense, and a shooting guard who gets more than four points when playing the bulk of the last 36 minutes.  Back to the trend - we'll hear all about Derrick, but he's one of a dozen problems.
