Greska: Disappointment a synonym for opportunity

Yup. Count on Cracked Sidewalks to once again have a pulse on the sentiments of the #mubb fanbase. For weeks now they have been leading the optimistic charge, beating the drum that Marquette had what it takes to put it all together. It wasn't blind faith that led them to pour the kool-aid. Ever the [...]<img alt="" border="0" src="http://stats.wordpress.com/b.gif?host=painttouches.com&blog=28348875&post=10441&subd=painttouches&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" />

Excellent piece. And gives lie to a number of people here. It is time for change.

Death on call

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Even though the article goes against my opinion, I thought it was thoughtful and well done. Quality work.

I will be singing this tune....after we lose four more times. Though I do agree, Burton should be playing more

TAMU

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

From Greska's lips to Buzz ears.  He is spot on, time to play Bane and JJJ at least 20 a game.

Nice article, but I have a hard time believing this team needs to win out in regular season play to get an autobid. 13-5 is a near lock, which would require 11-2 to close out the season - certainly not likely. Anything better is a for sure lock. 12-6 would require a win or two in NYC, but not all hope is lost if we split with X, CU and Nova. 11-7 or worse and some magic in NYC will be necessary, but honestly, I am not sure a 21-13 Marquette team doesn't get some consideration for Dayton. The field has to be filled.

But yes, Burton needs more minutes. JJJ and Steve need more minutes if they aren't at significant risk to further their injuries. Jake is who he is. He should play, but play much less. More Mayo in his place, and less playing Otule and Gardner together. It appears that the Jamil at PG experiment has ended, so I am for Dawson getting a few more minutes. Derrick is going to be the PG, but dear lord I hope Buzz gives Duane every opportunity to take reins next season. Derrick is a D1 PG, but he just is not the answer at 35 MPG and that is not going to change. But I truly hope I am wrong.

But the end goal is the same. Take every day one at a time and collect some Ws. Take down Gtown tonight and Nova Saturday and go from there. But this thought process that MU is done and should just throw in the towel is silly. Until MU has amassed 8 losses in regular season play, an at large is not lost. And if the season continues to slide, you still continue to develop the squad in hopes of making a run in NYC. And if not, oh well, the last 6 years has been one hell of a ride.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.
