MUDrag

Just viewed Katz' recap on Big East tourney and how great Creighton has done with its ticket allotment.  The BlueJays have sold its allotment of 2,100 tix (beat unconn record)  Big deal for the school as it's the first year in the conference.  Doesn't sound like much tho each school will have to sell its allotment to fill the stadium with only 10 conf teams.  Has anyone heard how mu is doing this year or how it's done in years past?  Filling the stadium is only one part of the equation.  Viewership will be the most important part.  If Villanova can keep it's ranking and two other teams are in top 25, I would think tourney will do ok in 2014 (tho not great).  MU and GT will need to join Villanova in top 15 next year for conference tourney to stay on par with other top conferences.  Need big name schools like GT and MU to do well.

Love the optimism, although I wouldn't go as far as to put MU in the same sentence as Georgetown - the Hoyas are our only true national brand.
The Flutie Effect: "A significant and positive correlation between a university having a successful team and higher quality of incoming freshmen, alumni donations, and graduation rates."
