Wow. I didn't think I could see so many people get so judgmental about a kid they know nothing about.

Even if the only reason that McKay is leaving is that he didn't like how he was being utilized, so what? He has the right to transfer to a system that he feels suits him better. Say you are hired for a job. You are really excited and it was your top choice. They spent money recruiting you and wining and dining you. They give you a nice fat salary. But once you get there, you hate it. They aren't doing anything wrong, you just don't fit in. Maybe you don't like your coworkers, maybe you don't like your boss, maybe you don't feel like your potential is being maximized. But for some reason, you aren't happy. Are you really saying that you wouldn't at least put out feelers for other jobs?

I've been in the above situation, and its awful. I absolutely put feelers out for other jobs and once I got an offer, I took it. I don't think that says anything poor about my character. And you know what, I love my new job and are much happier for it.

I know its not a perfect comparison. And I know some will probably say that I am a disgrace for leaving my first job. But sometimes you have to do what is best for yourself. You can call that selfish if you want, but it is even more selfish for fans of a college basketball team to take shots at a kid who decides to transfer.

Again, I don't understand the decision. I feel like it makes more sense to play and then transfer after a year. But I'm not McKay and I don't know what's best for him. McKay does, and he should do whatever he needs to get himself to the place where he wants to be.

I'm not angry or judgmental.

I simply don't care about him.

He's no longer a Warrior and he has nothing to do with anything I care about.

I don't wish him ill, I just don't care about him.

He's gone. Already forgotten. I will choose to care about those who still want to be Warriors.

First of all, I wish him well.  Milwaukee product and seems to be a quality kid.  It would have been fun to see him play.

Here's a scenario...  He's playing 4 (his true future position) on the scout team against DG and getting KILLED, and on switches picking up Otoule and also getting killed... so buzz switches him to 3, just as an experiment to see if he can guard the 3... and of course then Jamil kills him.  I can imagine a scenario where he's flat on his A__ in practice more than anyone else after being abused by much more physical inside players... so he goes.

Good luck to him in a different system.

I always thought he was more suited for the three. Of course I thought he was a better shooter than he showed in the pro am. I suspect what he was having trouble with was rebounding. In JC he got a lot of rebounds by being able to free lance on defense. At MU he had to play his position on defense and he was not strong enough to get rebounds by blocking out, which was damaging to his mental state. It was not playing center that was a problem, it was that he could not stray from the position on defense to run down rebounds.

May be physically suited for the 3, but skill-wise he is a 4.  He is simply a close to the basket player unless he can develop much better perimeter offensive skills.

#1 I don't think the decision makes sense, but it's not mine to make.

#2 Buzz and Jameel's teammates are welcome to judge him in any manner they see fit, and I would completely understand if they were upset with him.

#3 Stupid fans on the internet should keep their mouths shut about a kid (who they have never met) and his character. That has nothing to do with PC, and everything to do with being an adult. The kid decided he wanted to go to another school. Brett Roseboro did the same thing. Same thing will happen again in the future. Let's not attack every kid who DARE try something different than MU.

Let me guess, the four other guys are Kenneth Christiansen, William Gossett, Richard Floyd McCoy, Jr., and Duane Weber.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
