Guys, need some help. I've got a "keeper" league where we can choose any players from our team (as long as we drafted them the year before) to keep for this season. The caveat being that this year they become our pick 2 rounds higher than we picked them last year. As an example, last season I picked Demaryius Thomas in the 14th round, so if I kept him, he would be my 12th round pick automatically. So, after looking over my team, I've got 3 players that I may keep. What do you think?

Demaryius Thomas (would be a 12th round pick)
Danny Amendola (would be a 7th round pick)
Martellus Bennett (would be a 14th round pick)

Are those players good enough to keep based on what round I'd be picking? Would there be another player better than Amendola in the 7th? etc.

BTW, I'm the last pick in a snake draft. So I'd be last in the 7th, first in the 12th and first in the 14th.

I would keep Amendola as your 7th round pick.  He's pretty much the only option in NE for Brady right now with Welker and Hernandez gone and Gronk hurt.  Plus, his athleticism and route running ability really fit NE's offense.

Thomas should have another good year, but his targets seemingly can only decrease with Welker arriving in Denver and Decker still in the picture.  I think he's still a huge value in the 12th, though.

I wouldn't keep a TE.

So I think either Amendola or Thomas are solid keepers for you.  So does this keeper format prohibit a team from keeping one of their top 2 picks?

My thoughts exactly - the 2 WRs.

Like the value on Thomas and Bennett especially.   Bennett will have a career year with Trestman imo.

Amendola is too much of an injury risk for a 7th imo.

Thanks guys. I definitely thought Thomas in the 12th round is a great pick/value. I am slightly concerned about Amendola because I don't think he's as good as Welker (so less productivity) and also because he's really the only big threat in the passing game (not to mention his injury history). While Bennett may not have an outstanding year, I think as a 14th round pick, it's great value to get a starting TE and also free up earlier rounds to take RB, QB, WR and maybe some big risk/reward picks... Eddy Lacy, for example.  I'm leaning Thomas and Bennett at this point.
