(Travis) .. spent most of the summer at his parents' house.

"My mom hears a lot about how I'm staying there, but what else am I going to do?" said Diener, the son of Vicki and Bob Diener, and the subject of a $4.9 million deal with the Indiana Pacers.

"I like coming home."For the Dieners, family is 1-A and basketball is 1-B.

"I still talk to my Mom every day, which for a 25-year-old guy isn't the norm," said Diener, who spent his first two years in the NBA with the Orlando Magic, making $664,209 last season.  "But that's just the way our family works."

What a nice boy, calling his mom every day.  Puts all us losers to shame.
