So all this talk of Vander...I decided to search for DJO's stats in the Russian league.

http://basketball.eurobasket.com/player/Darius_Johnson-Odom/Spartak_StPetersburg/188247#Player Stats

putting up decent numbers but his 3-point shooting is horrible....1-9 (11%) in the Eurocup.

If DJO is having a hard time hitting the long ball......uhhh Vander has his work cut out for him....

In Russia, basketball shoots you.

It's easier to hit long balls in Guatemala. So Vander won't have to worry too much.

He's only averaging 8.5 minutes and 4.8 points a game? Are games in Russia like 10 minutes long??

I like it, but proper deliver requires the qualifier Soviet Russia

I'm an MU alum in Russia and I've seen 3 of his games on TV.  He's on a pretty good team but clearly doesn't understand euro style hoops yet.  That plus a shoot first point guard leaves him very little opportunity.  Probably a bad fit for the team and him.  Look for him to move from ST Petersburg next year.

Yeah, I was also thinking ST Petersburg would be a better fit, as they have time available at the 2-guard and a pass-first point guard. Think it would be a better fit for DJO to grow and get his shot back.

Actually, I know nothing about Russian basketball and have no idea what I'm talking about.

+10!  Excellente, senor.  Have you ever considered a career move?  To television sports commentary, perhaps?
