...the last time we saw Marquette, they weren't exactly inspiring.........

Really?   Keep feeding the fire, morons.

Outscoring a media darling by 10 points in the 2nd half was pretty inspiring to me.

Meanwhile, Ohio State was very inspiring in their controversial win capped off by a game-winner from the Great White Hope.

Are you proud of how we looked against Davidson , outside of the last 90 seconds?

Davidson inbounds that ball and we are all talking about "what could have been."
We Are Marquette

I thought MU did everything right against Davidson except hit shots.   The defense was very good, the ball movement was good, MU got the looks they wanted and missed them.   And I was thinking that as we were losing.

So really this board has turned into a group effort of who can find the best example of fake "disrespect". I think the "Buzz to" rumors are grounded in more reality than most of the disrespect examples people have come up with.

Our coach is a media darling, Vander has gotten NBA mentions yet somehow we "never get credit."

I'm calling BS. I hear the same crap from Badger fans. First of all Davidson is a damn good team and a tough matchup for a 3 v 14. The fact of the matter is Marquette won. They fought back, made shots at the end, played defense, forced turnovers. They deserveed to win, that game and they deserve to be in the elite 8. Marquette has lost plenty of games like the two they won against Davidon and Butler, I rarely hear a badger fan say "well they should have won that one"  Good top level programs don't qualify every success with an excuse. Act like we are a top level program because we are.

Last I checked, the game is 40 minutes long...not 38 minutes and 30 seconds.  I have watched the end of that game about a dozen times since then.

Travis Diener had to drag us kicking and screaming past a 14 seeded Holy Cross in 2003... oh what could have been...

If anything, MU should get more respect, and not utter disrespect, for the two gut check wins against Davidson and Butler. Butler and Davidson are good proven programs.

PuertoRicanNightmare

I think Davidson was better than Butler. We buried Butler after a poor first half

Good catch. I was thinking the same thing reading the transcript of Buzz's presser. He's really hitting the media hard and calling people out, and the funny thing is while people weren't picking us to win, much of the press has been favorable. The experts do have to pick a winner, I always think it's kind of funny when people take offense to them picking the other team as if it's a personal affront. Buzz needs and is creating an edge though that the players are buying into, so I guess it's working and he might as well keep riding it. The challenge will be to keep that edge and hunger now that MU has PASSED THE TEST.

Was at the game last night, and finally got to watching SC in my hungover state this morning.

They begin to preview the MU-Cuse matchup with Digger and the host brings up the previous game in Milwaukee.  Digger then replies with, "Yeah they only played once this season because Marquette lost to Notre Dame in the BET, so they weren't able to play then."

He just can't help himself....

Winner played Louisville? What a joke. Glad that Digger knows what he's talking about...

True, you do have to pick a winner. But there is a difference between picking a winner and ranking a 3 seed 16 out of 16 teams.

Pitino gave it to Digger pretty good during one of his recent post game pressers.  Pitino said they won because Digger picked against them and Digger's never right.

Saw that and started to get annoyed, then remembered Digger's just a troll. If he were an MU person (pardon my Good Friday blasphemy) and did the same with us, it'd be hilarious. If I were an analyst and could get away with it like he can, I'd bring my team up all the time. Yeah, Kentucky won the title last year, but only because they didn't have to go through Marquette.
