The Lens

Didn't we lose a big-man recruit to Harvard (called by some the Marquette of Boston)?  I don't recognize him on the roster.

You're probably thinking of Zena Edosomwan. He's a 2013, still just a high schooler. (at one point was a 2012)

We have looked at the younger brother of Harvard's Jonah Travis, Reid. He's a 2014 less than 48 hours from another Minnesota state championship.

Frank Ben-Eze.
He committed to Harvard, but ended up at Davidson, of all places. He's since graduated.

Your avatar picture looked familiar, but I couldn't place it.  Now I realize that the guy on the left is Tyrus Jones.  Whose the other guy, Okafor?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Maybe it's just coincidence?

Think of another top ~10 2014 recruit from Minnesota.

Speaking of Harvard and NM, will NM pull a Marquette-like comeback this game?

Yep, and many will be blaming Alford as if only they could get out from behind their computers and be coaching the team instead, the Lobos would be cruising to an easy victory. Cracks me up every time as it happens on every sports forum out there, regardless of the sport.

Either way, man is March Madness so fabulous given today's college ball where mid-majors can beat almost anybody on a given day. I love it. Best sporting event out there IMO.

Skatastrophy

I will gladly X Harvard out of my bracket if the Crimson pull this off.   Gutsy play from Marquette East thus far!

No way. This is posted on page 15:

"yet another Lobo embarrassment on national tv."

pfff.  There goes my bracket.  I had NM in the FF

Glad to not be the 3 that lost to a 14.

Also got to say, they need to get Gottlieb courtside more often.  Ten times more tolerable as a color commentator than a studio analyst.

MUBBau

Nice win for my safety school!

On a completely different note, my god does Montana absolutely suck.

ChicosBailBonds

Congratulations Keefe.  Great win.

I got a server timeout error.  I wonder if they're imploding like how we would have had 13lue not been studly on that last play.  I feel for them. :-\
Relax. Respect the Process.

NavinRJohnson

Great win for soon to be former head coach, Tommy Amaker.

I wonder if they are going to set a record for fewest points in an NCAA tournament game.

Congratulations Keefe.  Great win.

Screws up my bracket but I am happy for the Crimson. Amaker has done a nice job there. I have always liked to see Ivies and schools like Colgate do well in the tournament. These guys are still student athletes.

It's like watching a high school varsity team against a 5th grade B team. And I don't even think Syracuse is that great.

Agree on Gottlieb and happy for the Harvard kids even though i had New Mexico going to the Elite 8. To bad Gus Johnson wasn't the guy calling our game today, that could have been epic.

I love seeing mid-majors win games like this so long as it's not against Marquette or Wisconsin.

Actually, Navin I think you are wrong. Amaker had a taste of the bigger apple and hated it. He is really happy in Cambridge. He runs a clean, successful program, the Admin trusts him and gives him the latitude to do the job, and his kids graduate with degrees in Physics. There have been a few articles in the alumni magazine about Amaker and how much he likes being there.

I have to agree.  If I was Amaker, I would stay put.  I think he is very happy there and has had his taste of the BiG already.

I like him as a coach and think he will build a nice little program at Harvard.
