Marquette Conference RPI
« on: March 07, 2013, 11:53:10 AM »
Just noticed on ESPN that since conference play has started Marquette ranks #2 in RPI. Duke is 1st.

Strength of Schedule 13

Non conference RPI is 28.

^I know its all water under a bridge now but imagine if we beat Green Bay...

Probability is a bitch.  A team will both over perform and under perform during the year.  Arguably MU over performed (at the right time) during some games in conference.  A more consistent MU team could very well have beaten Green Bay, but would be sitting with a bunch of other teams at 11-6 in the Big East now.

I'll take the actual results, and the shot at the Big East regular season title.

I am anxious to see if Brewcity77's prediction that MU will make the NCAA tournament (made right after the Green Bay game) comes true.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

The Green Bay loss may very well have been the impetus behind this team's success from that point forward.

GB game wasn't since conference play started so it would have no impact on this number?

The arrow ^ in my post points directly to Non Conference RPI.

Green Bay would qualify.
