Agreed, I want nothing to do with Louisville. Even the first game looks far more enticing for GT than us. Providence/St. John's winner or the winner of Cincy/'Nova, both of whom beat us and will likely be highly motivated to get another good win to make the tournament.

Ugh, I want to avoid Louisville at all costs.

Agree....but maybe Pitt could beat Louisville.

Ah, the "highly motivated" angle. Villanova looked damn motivated last night and had a lot more to play for than Seton Hall did. And wasn't Cinci highly motivated the last couple weeks, when they lost all but one game?

I get your point, brew, but just because a team wants to win doesn't mean it will win.

I'd welcome another crack at either Nova or Cinci and then a semifinal matchup against Ville because I'd like to see us get revenge. One would think we'd be highly motivated at the prospect!!!

I'm a little surprised that the #1 and #2 seeds have the short brackets. With a 2nd round upset, the #3 or #4 seeds would get a team playing for the 3rd time in 3 days.

So to get to the finals we would need to avenge two of our regular season losses?

Is it bad that I kind of don't want the #1 seed. I want us to finish #2 or #3 just so I can watch our games.

Windyplayer

Thought this updated bracket should be on the first page.

PITT as the #1 seed in 2011 didn't really see the benefit of that as UCONN went over them like a speed bump in route to a BE championship and National Championship. Still one of the most incredible runs I've ever witnessed in sports.

That was the Kemba Walker in tournament (Maui, BE, and NCAA) averaging almost 30 ppg year right?

And the Kemba Walker hits an ankle breaking game winning jump shot for 10 games in a row, year.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

He his some absolutely filthy ones that year. Probably the most clutch individual performance I've ever witnessed night in and night out.

#1 seed hasn't made the Final since 2009.

The 1 seed did make the final 2007-2009 and won 2 of those 3.

#1 seed didn't make the title in 2006 either so only 3 times has the #1 seed made the title since BE Expansion. Of course 2 of those 3 #1 seeds to reach the finals were georgetown.
