If they really want to prove their interest, they should fire up that legendary caravan of Cavaliers and embark on a tour of all of the C7 schools and then Fox Sports' HQ.

Wait a second ... I'm sure I remember that a highly intelligent, well-connected Dayton fan told us here that Marquette would be begging to get into the A-10 and that there was NO WAY that Dayton would think of accepting a bid to the lousy New Big East.

You're right.  This must be a diversion to get the C7 to realize that Dayton is the end all, be all of collegiate basketball and that the C7 would be best suited in the A10 where Dayton can keep their egos in check.

I don't get it.

Dayton fans are emphasizing their "connection" with Xavier is like a familial bond which can never be broken yet forget they left Xavier behind. They also stress the rivalry with Cincinnati is also important to any potential conference affiliations.

Dayton appears to be DiCaprio reaching for Big East Winslet's hand to save him as he sinks into obscurity.
