Lunardi has us as a 5. I think we will be higher but this seed is actually quite favorable. I could see us playing the winner of Arizona-Wisconsin to get to the Elite 8.

I am dumbfounded that he has Kentucky as a 9 and UNC as a 10. Neither deserve to be here, especially N Carolina.

Georgetown, PITT, Nova, Syracuse, ND and St. John's left.  Long way to go here.  A five would be absolutely outstanding.

UNC has an RPI of 35 entering today's game.  That will get you in 99% of the time.  They have some tough games coming up, but their RPI is ahead of several that are considered "locks".  Kentucky is the team that actually has a worse RPI at 43.

If this MU team is playing for an Elite 8 bid I'll send you case of California wine, your choice.  Let the Mrs. pick.

You'd be that shocked to see Marquette in the Sweet 16?  I certainly don't think it's a lock by any stretch of the imagination, but at the same time, this is certainly a team that could make a bit of a run.  The best part about this team is that if one guy didn't bring his A game on a given day, there are 7 other guys who can fill that role unlike in the past.  And the best part about the Big East is that it prepares you better than any other conference for the NCAA Tournament.  You will not run into an opponent who does not have a similar team in the Big East.  Every kind of team is in the Big East.

We played for an Elite 8 bid each of the past 2 years. Is the idea of Marquette beating a 12 and 4 (if we got a 5) that shocking?

Especially with likely 4/5s being teams like Butler, Cincinnati, New Mexico, Minnesota, K-state, or Creighton? MU could easily take a draw with any of those teams with a legit shot to win and even be favored against some.

CBS/Parish has us a #3 Seed in the West. he also has us #18 which isn't compatible with his seeding.

Whoa. Um, I'll take it.

Jerry Palm has MU as a 6, down one from last week.    I guess that the loss to Louisville gets factored in a week late, while the two wins get ignored.
