Lots of contributors on offense.    A half step late all day on defense, and DePaul was hot.   8-2, on to Georgetown.

56% from field and 89% from free throws.  Impressive numbers, beat alot of teams with those stats.

Only downer news was three point defense.

Junior was awesome.  1 pt away from leading the team in points, rebounds, assists and steals.

Hot is an understatement...11/12 from the line and 9/20 from behind the arc...DePaul tried.

....and three point offense.

They were hot.  We were hotter.  And we had that free-throw thing workin'.  Made significantly more than they attempted.   :)
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Hope we're ready for a stark contrast on Monday.  Georgetown is one of those "first to 50" games.  Hopefully the slower pace won't be frustrating, and the defensive intensity is turned up.

'Cept he took an early bonehead 3 point shot with a fresh shot clock and 11 seconds left in the half. Terrible play from a senior floor leader.

There are days when teams are shooting well and days when they aren't.   Some of it is attributable to defense but some is just luck.  If DePaul shoots normally from 3 and from the line MU leads comfortably most of the 2nd half.  DePaul was hot and if MU had been looking past this game this could have been an upset in the making.  I think MU played a second good game in a row.  Offensively I think we are ready for GT and playing much better than we were when we were fortunate to beat them early in Jan.   If their 3s are falling like DePaul's were today we'll lose.  But if they shoot like they did back in Jan I think we've got a really good shot at knocking them off.  Just need another road win or 2 in out of the next 5 so we should be able to go into GT loose.

I've seen several DePaul games this year. They struggle to play defense. Part of our shooting percentage was attributable to easy shots at the rim.
